The Story
Sarah and Larkin met during their final year of graduate school at Yale where Sarah earned her Masters in Nursing and Larkin earned his Masters in Architecture. While in New Haven, they enjoyed a wonderful year full of walks to the library, mornings at their favorite diner, and cooking dinners together. After graduation, they embarked on a cross country move to Los Angeles, a trip that saw them through 21 states, 13,000 miles, and Sarah's first (and last?) trip to Cracker Barrel.
Shortly after settling into their little house in Echo Park, the Covid-19 pandemic hit. Sarah and Larkin stayed sane by taking long hilly walks in the neighborhood, crafting custom cocktails, and road-tripping to Sarah's family's home in Lake Tahoe. As their life has grown in LA, they have been blessed with a wonderful community of friends and family. They enjoy daily visits from their favorite neighborhood cat Herschel and weekly trivia nights with the 27th ranked trivia team in the nation, the Fertile Crescent Rolls.
In May 2023, Larkin proposed to Sarah on the dock at Dollar Point, Lake Tahoe, a special place for the Spiller family that has now become even more special for Larkin and Sarah.
